Back at the lake for another summer.
It's cold and windy and there are dead bugs everywhere. I still love it.
It's still early. I like these aspen trees better when they have leaves on them.
I finally opened the boathouse and let the ducks out.
Unpack, clean, purge, repack all the kitchen cabinets. How much Tupperware is too much?
I finished my "deep clean" of the kitchen. All this stuff is destined for Barely Used in Park Rapids.
It is still freezing cold here! I'm going to let my Roomba make a start on the Asian beetles in the log cabin.
I put the deck furniture out even though it's too cold to sit out here. Next week will be better.
This is just wishfull thinking today but soon I hope.
Rob and Terri and Riley arrive. I hope they brought some warm weather them.

The wind finally died down enough to put in the dock. Rob has spotted a bass.

We started re-tarping the carport. With a little bit of effort we were able to make this a two day project.
We got Rob's Tracker bass boat out of storage.
Last year's porch pine is past its use by date.

Bill Mills has returned so the Friday Breakfast Club is back to fiull strength.
While this seat is comfortable I get a wet butt after sitting in it. It needed to be removed and weep holes drilled through the bottom shell. We'll see.
After a week thinking about this we finally finished re-tarping the carport.
This is destined to be a new shelf in the boat house.
Rob, Terri and Riley head back to Denver too soon.
One can never have too many horizontal surfaces to store stuff.
Am I proactive or reactive?
The old Alumacraft boat needs some maintenance. Bench 1 is structurally sound but isn't the current battleship gray color that I'm using.
Bench 2 was rebuilt in 2023. I thought maybe using plywood woud be a good idea. It wasn't.
Bench 3 is also generally in fair shape. There's a crack I think I can fill with Bondo and then paint.
With three of the benches removed this will be a good time to pressure wash the inside.
